Abstract: We report the synthesis of the new compound 6,8-dibromo-11H-indeno[1,2-b]quinolin-11-one (Compound 3), which present an important type of nitrogen-containing heterocycles and is a useful intermediate product in organic synthesis. The compound was evaluated for potential biological activity and is promising for pharmaceutical applications. The structure of the compound was confirmed by the single crystal X-ray diffraction. Bioavailability was evaluated in silico using ADME predictions. The molecular docking results show that Compound 3 is a potential DNA intercalator. In summary, the synthesized indenoquinoline derivative 3 has prospectives to be used as the main component for the development of anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory drugs.
